There is no doubt in my mind that Misty is pregnant.  One more week until the puppies are due.

Today we bred Misty (Cockatrice's Misty Mountain Hop) to Int'l RBIS. Am. Can. CH Croy de Bayone Archie AOM.  If the breeding took, puppies are expected on 6 December 2010.  I will put some pictures and pedigrees up when I am feeling less slug-like.

Our boy Cockatrice's Mister Magoo went BISS (Best in Specialty Show) at the Great Dane Club of Canada Specialty Show in Oshawa.  This was an unexpected and very gratifying win for us.  It tells us that some judges still appreciate Great Danes with bone and substance.

Our new baby girl, Croy de Bayone Xanadu, arrived today from her breeder, just 4 months old.  Her father is Cockatrice's Watch Buddy Go, brother to our boy Cockatrice's Mister Magoo.  Her mother is La Croy de Bayone Trinity.  Imagine my horror when she arrived with cropped ears.  Now I get to re-learn how to tape ears.  What joy.  But she really is a wonderful puppy.

My beautiful girl Domino, my constant companion for 11 1/2 years, passed away from multiple causes today.  She gave me two wonderful litters and years of happiness.  There is an enormous hole in my soul today and I am lost in darkness.

Our girl Calico, who gave us 3 beautiful litters and produced multiple champions passed away of bloat today, 24 days short of her 11th birthday.  I pray she is in a better place now.

This is a tragic day.  Our wonderful boy Fritz passed on from spondylosis.  I cannot describe how badly he will be missed.
